OTC Academy
The Adcock Ingram OTC Academy was established in 2005 with the objective of creating an on-going, outcomes based learning opportunity to our customers. It is targeted primarily at the Pharmacy and Pharmacists Assistants, and in 2009 the training was extended to Pharmacists.
The training is developed and conducted by respected, qualified Pharmacists who have a passion for industry development. What truly sets it apart is that it not only covers disease states, treatments in OTC, anatomy and physiology but there are modules on business skills such as Selling Skills too.
The needs of the customer are taken into account. The training sessions are generally 3 hours and they are offered in the mornings or evenings to ensure as many customers as possible get the opportunity to attend. After completing and passing the self-assessments, each trainee receives a certificate of completion. The training does not end here as the OTC Academy offers bursaries to deserving trainees upon completion of the study block.
The Academy has become a vehicle for Adcock Ingram to build stronger relationships with our customers while adding value to their lives!
